The UBC Real Estate Board Welcomes New Board Members and Announces Leadership Changes

The UBC Real Estate Club is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to its Board of Advisors: Anthony Liang, Alice Wang, Brodie Henrichsen, and Winnie Ng.

We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our departing board members: Evan Allegretto, Jaclyn O’Neill, Madeleine Payne, and Varinder Grewal. Their dedication and contributions have been invaluable to the growth and success of our club.

As part of this transition, we announce an important leadership change. Varinder Grewal is stepping down from his role as Chair of the Board of Advisors, having served with exceptional commitment. Yosh Kasahara will succeed him and take on the role of Chair for the next three years. With Yosh’s vision and expertise, we look forward to guiding the UBC Real Estate Club to new heights.

About the Board

Established three years ago, our Board of Advisors was created to provide strategic guidance and continuity for the club’s leadership, ensuring that our vision and initiatives are consistently upheld, even as student leadership changes. The Board advises on key decisions, helps maintain alignment with industry standards, and strengthens our connection with Vancouver's real estate sector.

The addition of new board members each year is part of a structured succession plan aimed at keeping our perspectives fresh and diverse, with approximately 30% of the board turning over annually. This intentional rotation not only fosters dynamic thinking and introduces new expertise but also supports our goal of building a board that represents the full spectrum of Vancouver’s real estate firms over time.

We are excited for the continued success and growth of the UBC Real Estate Club under this new leadership and look forward to further strengthening our connections within the real estate industry.
